Enjoy a minute from the Feb. 14th outing. Remember to change the video settings from 360p to 720p in the lower right corner after the video begins playing. It will take alittle longer to load but well worth the wait. Thanks Wendy B. for another excellent day on our Driftless Creeks.

Threw this thing together after being inspired by Sershen’s recent couple of excellent videos. Note: all the video here was shot on the Panasonic Lumix TS-1 that I take in the field with me, the same point and shoot camera that captures all the still images. Thanks Wendy for being an unknowing subject and Sershen for helping me get it all figured out and up on the web. With that, here is the video for January 17th, 2011. Enjoy another good day in the Driftless Area.
Take advantage of the 720p HD setting in the lower right corner, it takes a bit longer to load but well worth it.

A little late is better than never, with that in mind here is how I tied my recent batch of Stimulators. I should note that I did glue the head of every fly but when tying 60 of these flies I waited until the entire batch was done before busting out the glue to finish each fly. Peace.

These are basic patterns that will teach some fundamental tying techniques and will help fill your S.E. MN Spring Creek box with effective flies.
Caddis Larva
Zebra Midge
Blood Midge
I should note that this is my first attempt at recording my fly tying, I have had to learn a few things about cameras, video editing, uploading, fly tying, and myself all to manage just these few patterns and these are the simple ones. Hopefully these do the patterns and myself justice. Enjoy.
