Area Report:
6/29/10: Recent rains have shifted instream woody debris around quite a bit. Get out and you might find a new spot to fish but you might lose a different one. The increase in flows have also pushed out some of the thicker vegetation allowing for better fishing in some places for this time of year. Some watersheds still remain fairly muddy and high but others are clearing up with this week of dry weather. To stay on the safe side stick to the shorter watersheds and headwater areas through the beginning of the weekend. A #18 Orange Scud has been working very well for me when nymphing the stained water.
