Hey Winona,
I’m thinking of heading down to Viroqua on March 3 for the Wisco opener and for the annual opening of the Driftless Angler (and associated flyfishing films). Do you want to come along?
All you’d have to do is drive over to Galesville and I’ll drive the rest of the way. What do you think?
BTW, I still need official permission from the Ms. for this. Just thought I’d float the idea by you.
Love that jungle boogie! Takes me back to my childhood. Keep up the good work. I’m gonna try more streamers this coming season. Walt C

Area Report:
4/14/12: Catch and Keep opened in S.E. Minnesota under sunny skies and a beautiful 70 degree high air temp. Grey Caddis were popping again and so were the trout. I stopped into a place close to home between work shifts and bumped my five little brown trout for dinner. I promptly went home and grilled them with S.E. Minnesota Morel Mushrooms. The .30 inches of rain we got last night did little to stain the creeks or raise them any. Tonight and tomorrow may make up for what last night didn't bring. Keep an eye on the precipitation totals if we get a significant douse before heading out the door. Enjoy April it is one damn fine month and a friend of mine recently wrote: April; you don’t get many of them in your life.
